Sometimes I Cry Over Lack of Support – Sista Afia

Ghanaian award-winning singer Sista Afia has revealed that she sometimes breaks down in tears due to the lack of support from Ghanaians, particularly for female artists in the music industry.

Speaking on Onua TV’s Onua Showtym with McBrown, the Corner Corner hitmaker expressed her frustration, stating that female musicians do not receive as much encouragement as their male counterparts.

“Sometimes I sit at home and cry because of the lack of support from Ghanaians,” she admitted. “Music is my everything, so it gets scary when the support I expect doesn’t come.”

This isn’t the first time Sista Afia has spoken about the struggles of female artists. Over the years, she has consistently called for greater recognition and support for women in the music industry, highlighting the difficulties they face in gaining opportunities.

Despite these challenges, she remains dedicated to her craft. In a bold move to take control of her career, she revealed that she has established her recording studio.

She assured fans that she had no intentions of quitting music, confidently stating that even in 50 years, she would still be making music.
