Ghanaian rapper and singer Amerado recently shared an amusing yet thought-provoking experience related to his music career and education.
During an interview with Adom TV/FM after a performance, the “Kweku Ananse” hitmaker recounted an incident where he blocked a girl he liked simply because she asked what he did apart from music. Amerado found the question odd, as he believes that music is a full-time profession that demands the same level of dedication as any other career.
“I blocked a girl because she asked me what I do besides music,” he explained, suggesting that such a question undermines the seriousness of a musician’s work.
Regarding the balance between music and education, the award-winning rapper expressed confidence in managing both effectively. While he acknowledged that solely focusing on music could be limiting, he remains committed to enhancing his craft while pursuing his studies.
Amerado also mentioned that his immediate priority is to complete his tertiary education and possibly continue to higher levels, all while striving to elevate his music career.
