Vice President Opoku-Agyemang in Good Health

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is in good health and recovering well after receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), according to former deputy spokesperson Eric Adjei.

Reports indicate that the Vice President fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, 2025, and was subsequently admitted to UGMC for medical attention. On Sunday, March 30, 2025, Minister of Government Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu issued a statement revealing that medical experts had advised her to seek further treatment abroad.

As concerns grew among Ghanaians on social media regarding her condition, Eric Adjei, who now serves as the CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), reassured the public that she was recovering well. Adjei, who played a key role as her deputy spokesperson during the 2024 election campaign, took to Facebook to share an update along with a photo of himself and the Vice President.

“Our mother, the Vice President, is in good health, thanks to God’s grace. I’ve received updates from the team, and Mum is doing very well by His grace,” he wrote.
