Minister’s Working Visit to Fostering Innovation and Development

The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon Samuel Nartey George (MP) on Monday, 28th of April 2025 started a tour of tech companies. This is necessary to drive innovation, assess industry needs and promote digital inclusion.

By engaging with tech firms, the Minister identifies areas for growth, foster partnerships and inform policy decisions that support Ghana’s digital transformation.

At mPharma, a leading healthcare company, the Minister pledged his commitment to facilitate partnerships between M-Pharma, Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Communication enabling the company to expand its reach and impact.

At the IT Consortium, the Minister engaged with industry experts on cutting-edge technologies and digital solutions. The visit underscored the significance of IT in driving economic growth and development.

He pledged support for the consortium’s initiatives to foster innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Minister’s visit to Apps Mobile, a mobile application development company, demonstrates the potential for mobile technology to transform industries and improve lives.

He expressed the Ministry’s readiness to work in the innovation space, reiterating the Ministry’s new mandate to include Innovation.

At Complete Farmer, an agricultural technology company, the Minister learned about innovative farming solutions and sustainable practices. The visit highlighted the importance of agriculture in ensuring food security and economic growth.

He was passionate about developing farming materials in local languages to help facilitate the work of farmers, adding, that the He Ministry will work with Complete Farmer to help farmers in the country scale up and make more profit.

The Hon. Minister who was excited to see the impact of innovation and technology in various sectors indicated that the institutions are driving progress, creating jobs and improving lives.

“As a government, we’re committed to supporting their efforts and providing resources to help them thrive”, he noted.
