Turkish Airlines Explores Sports Tourism Partnerships with Ghanaian Authorities

The Country Manager of Turkish Airlines, Mr. Aytekin Serbest, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Sports, Hon. Kofi Adams, to discuss potential avenues for strategic partnerships and the advancement of sports tourism in Ghana.

Joining the meeting were the Corporate Sales and Marketing Manager of Turkish Airlines, Hon. Maame Efua Houadjeto, the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Hon. George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, and Hon. Malik Basintale, CEO of the Youth Employment Agency. I was also privileged to be part of this important engagement, where stakeholders exchanged ideas on fostering impactful collaborations to drive sports tourism and youth development in the country.

He is best known as the CEO of the Volta Media Excellence Awards (VMEA), an initiative established in 2020 to recognize and motivate media practitioners in the Volta and Oti regions. Under his leadership, VMEA has honored over 100 media professionals and organized events such as media literacy conferences and health screenings for journalists.
