The Ghana Police Service has made another arrest in connection with the murder of mobile money vendor Christopher Ahordor, which occurred in Aflao on April 28, 2025.
On May 18, 2025, police apprehended a 65-year-old man, Happy Sewordor, believed to be the father of one of the key suspects, Micheal Sewornu. During a search of his residence, authorities discovered four firearms, live ammunition, dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, and other illegal drugs. Happy Sewordor is currently in custody and is scheduled to reappear in court on June 16, 2025.
This arrest follows earlier developments in the case. On May 12, 2025, three suspects, Hadi Sulley (22), Ewe Abraham, also known as Wale (25), and Eric Dordzinu (25), were arrested in Accra. They were transferred to Ho and appeared before the court on May 19, 2025. The three suspects remain in prison custody and will reappear on June 16, 2025.
Further arrests were made on May 14, when suspects Korku Agboada, Utsuku Onyeso, and Micheal Sewornu were also arraigned before the court and subsequently remanded. Another individual, Atsu Agbagla, was granted police bail but continues to assist with ongoing investigations.
The Ghana Police have expressed their appreciation to the public for their support and cooperation in tackling crime. The Service assured the community of its continued commitment to maintaining peace, safety, and security for all citizens.
