Hajia 4Reall Set for Release from U.S. Prison Today

Ghanaian socialite and musician, Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia 4Reall, is expected to regain her freedom today, May 22, 2025, after completing her sentence in a U.S. prison.

Hajia 4Reall was convicted for her role in a high-profile romance scam that defrauded numerous individuals and businesses across the United States between 2013 and 2019. Following her guilty plea, she was sentenced on June 28, 2024, to one year and one day at the Federal Detention Centre in Philadelphia.

She voluntarily turned herself in on July 29, 2024, a month after the sentencing. During court proceedings, an agreement was reached for Hajia 4Reall to self-deport to Ghana after serving her time. Her legal team also petitioned for the release of her passport ahead of her return, a request that was approved by U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken.

Reliable sources, including Snapchat blogger SelTheBomb and FameBugs, have reported that Mona is scheduled for release within the next 24 hours. Arrangements are being made for her to return to Ghana within seven days.

As part of her sentencing terms, Hajia 4Reall was also ordered to forfeit $216,475 and pay $1,387,458 in restitution to the victims of the romance scam.
