President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E.John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang led an emotional candlelight memorial at the Ceremonial Garden in front of the Presidency to honor those who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Accompanied by Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and several high-ranking government officials, the solemn gathering included the laying of flowers and the lighting of candles as symbols of national mourning.

The ceremony reflected the government’s empathy and solidarity with the families of the victims and the entire nation during this difficult time.

In his brief address, President Mahama described the incident as a national tragedy and called for unity and reflection.
