Funny Face Advice Ghanaian Youth to Say No to Drugs

Ghanaian comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face, has issued a strong warning to the youth, urging them to steer clear of drugs.

In a candid interview with Metro TV, the comedian, often called the “Children’s President,” shared his personal struggles with substance abuse, revealing how it worsened his problems rather than providing relief.

Say no to drugs because when I went through challenges, I took some, and it didn’t help me. When you’re going through challenges and you take drugs, it worsens, Funny Face advised.

He extended his message to fellow creatives in the entertainment industry, emphasizing the importance of seeking help rather than resorting to harmful substances.

Most creatives should stay away from drugs and not bottle things up. Talk to somebody when you’re struggling. That’s what happened to me. I didn’t talk to people, he shared, recounting how heartbreak and personal battles nearly consumed him.

Having overcome his struggles, Funny Face is now a vocal advocate for mental well-being and sobriety, urging young people to prioritize their health and seek support when needed.
