The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts (MoTCCA), in partnership with the Ghana Commission for UNESCO and UNESCO Accra, has held a 2-day stakeholder workshop in Kumasi (Aug 13–14, 2025) as part of the rollout of the UNESCO Culture|2030 Indicators Project.
The project, supported by the European Union, helps Ghana measure culture’s role in achieving the SDGs, particularly education, gender equality, decent work, sustainable cities, and strong institutions.
The Kumasi workshop strengthened local capacity in cultural data collection, policy planning, and aligning culture with national development strategies. Ghana remains committed to leading evidence-based cultural development for sustainable growth.
