Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Engages Ghana Chamber of Shipping

Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Deputy Minister of Transport and Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, on behalf of her Boss, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has engaged the leadership of the Ghana Chamber of Shipping in Accra.

The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships to boost Ghana’s maritime transport and logistics sector, which plays a vital role in the country’s trade and economic development.

During the discussions, the Chamber of Shipping presented a proposal for the establishment of a collaborative forum aimed at streamlining operations, enhancing efficiency, and improving the maritime value chain. The proposed forum is expected to bring together government officials, industry players, and other stakeholders to address key challenges and develop sustainable strategies for growth.

Hon. Affo-Toffey welcomed the initiative and commended the Chamber for taking a proactive step toward industry advancement. She emphasized the Ministry’s readiness to support stakeholder-driven efforts that align with Ghana’s national transport and logistics strategy.

Enhancing collaboration within the maritime industry remains a key priority, she stated.
