WAEC Releases 2025 BECE Results for School Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results for school candidates. Thousands of Junior High School students across Ghana who sat for the exams in June can now access their provisional results online.
In a statement, WAEC urged candidates to use its official e-Results portal to check their grades, cautioning against the use of unauthorized websites and middlemen who often exploit students and parents. The Council further emphasized that the results can only be accessed with the correct result checker details.
This year’s BECE was conducted under strict supervision to ensure credibility and transparency, following recent concerns over examination malpractice. WAEC assured the public that all reported irregularities were thoroughly investigated before the release of the results.
Education stakeholders, parents, and guardians have since welcomed the release, as it paves the way for students to transition into Senior High Schools under the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS). The Ghana Education Service is expected to announce placement schedules in the coming weeks.
The release of the BECE results marks a significant milestone for candidates, as it determines their progression to the next phase of their academic journey.
