12,000 Youth Graduate Under Community Protection Assistants

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, has successfully passed out another batch of young people under the Community Protection Assistants (CPA)

module at the Tesano Police Training School.

This latest graduation brings the total number of CPAs trained and deployed nationwide to 12,000, marking a significant step in advancing youth employment while strengthening community safety.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, alongside YEA’s Chief Executive Officer, Malik Basintale. Both reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to creating sustainable jobs for the youth and enhancing security within communities.

The CPA initiative forms part of the Agency’s broader mission to empower young people with skills, opportunities, and a platform to contribute meaningfully to national development.
