Nana Ama McBrown Saved My Life Fred Kyei Mensah Reveal

Veteran Ghanaian music producer Fred Kyei Mensah was moved to tears as he recounted how celebrated actress and television host Nana Ama McBrown once came to his rescue during his darkest hour.
The emotional revelation came during McBrown’s much-anticipated return to Onua Showtime on Sunday, August 24, 2025, after a brief medical break to undergo her fifth hand surgery. The return also coincided with celebrations of her 47th birthday.
Sharing his heartfelt testimony, Fred Kyei Mensah disclosed that during the pandemic, he lost all his belongings in a devastating flood and was left destitute, hungry, and without money. At the point of despair, he reached out to McBrown, pleading for help.
During the pandemic, a flood destroyed all my properties. I had nothing and was starving. I scrolled through my phone and sent McBrown a message, telling her if she didn’t help me that day, I would die, he recalled emotionally.
According to him, McBrown responded immediately by sending GH₵2,000, which he said kept him alive. Later, she went a step further by inviting him to join her show as a panellist, a role he still holds today.
McBrown, the impact you’ve had on people’s lives is beyond measure,” Kyei Mensah added tearfully, praising her kindness and generosity.
