The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Hon. Sam Dzata George (MP), met with a team from the creative industry today to discuss the role of the arts in promoting cultural identity and national development.

The meeting included well-known comedians such as Lekzy DC, Foster Romanus, and Albert Bondah, who shared their views on how comedy and performance can encourage discussions about social and cultural issues.

Hon. Samuel Nartey George emphasized the importance of prioritizing local languages in education, especially in the Greater Accra Region. He stated that cultural identity can be strengthened through practical measures, such as language teaching in schools, rather than merely through symbolic gestures.

The creative personalities expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the Minister and extended an invitation to their upcoming comedy special scheduled for September 27, 2025.

The Minister pledged his support and encouraged them to continue using their platforms to inspire, entertain, and promote national values.
