Award-winning Ghanaian child poet, Nakeeyat Dramani, has sent a strong warning to adults who target children on social media, urging them to stay away from minors’ comment sections.
In a video shared on Instagram, the 13-year-old addressed the issue directly, emphasizing that such inappropriate behavior constitutes a crime. “We are children and we are staying that way. So please keep your distance when it comes to your dirty minds and we, the innocent children,” she said firmly.
Nakeeyat cautioned online predators against preying on young girls who create content on digital platforms, declaring that such conduct “will not be tolerated anywhere in the world.”
She further encouraged her peers to continue expressing themselves boldly online without fear, assuring them that she and other young voices will not hesitate to speak out against harassment.
