Ghana Movie Industry is not Dead - Kofi Asamoah

Filmmaker and CEO of Kofas Media, Kofi Asamoah, has dismissed claims that Ghana’s movie industry is dead. According to him, the industry continues to evolve despite the challenges it faces.

Speaking in a recent interview, Asamoah emphasized that the growth of digital platforms, streaming services, and new production techniques has created opportunities for filmmakers to showcase their work to both local and international audiences. He noted that while the industry may not be operating at its peak compared to previous years, it is undergoing a necessary transition that will ultimately strengthen its future.

The Kofas Media boss urged stakeholders, investors, and fans to support local productions, stressing that collaboration, innovation, and proper structures are key to reviving and sustaining the industry.
