Efya Nokturnal Engages RCC on Supporting Female Artists in Ashanti Region

The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) hosted renowned Ghanaian multiple award-winning songstress Efya Nokturnal, born Jane Awindor, for a discussion on strengthening the music industry. And fostering support for emerging female talents in the Ashanti Region.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene and officials from the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) pledged their commitment to developing structures that will promote inclusivity in the creative sector. They also pointed out the potential for the arts to contribute to regional economic development while encouraging partnerships between government, industry stakeholders and artists.

The discussion ended with a call to action for corporate Ghana and cultural institutions to invest more in female creatives, ensuring they receive the recognition and support needed to thrive.
