Hon. Sam George Commends Cyber Security Authority After Kasoa Romance Scam Bust

Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, has once again expressed his appreciation to the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) of Ghana for its relentless efforts in combating cybercrime across the country.

In the early hours of today 13th of December  2025, a significant breakthrough was recorded following a joint intelligence-led operation between the Cyber Security Authority and National Security. The coordinated exercise led to the arrest of 32 Nigerian nationals in Kasoa Tuba, who were allegedly operating a well-organized romance scam syndicate targeting unsuspecting victims online.

The operation marks another major blow to cybercriminal networks exploiting Ghana as a base for fraudulent digital activities. Authorities revealed that the suspects were engaged in online romance scams, a growing cybercrime trend that has caused substantial financial losses to victims both locally and internationally.

Hon. Sam George praised the professionalism and dedication of the security agencies involved, stressing the importance of sustained collaboration to curb cyber-related crimes.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Cyber Security Authority in strengthening Ghana’s cyber defense framework, emphasizing that the country must remain an unattractive destination for cybercriminals.
