The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Education Unit to facilitate the recruitment of 3,000 Arabic instructors across the country.
This partnership aims to address the increasing demand for Arabic teachers, particularly in Islamic schools, while also creating job opportunities for young graduates who are proficient in the language.
According to YEA, this agreement is part of its broader mission to provide sustainable employment for young people and to support key sectors that contribute to national development. The Islamic Education Unit expressed confidence that this collaboration will not only enhance teaching and learning but also strengthen the integration of Arabic studies into Ghana’s educational system.
Officials from both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring a transparent and merit-based recruitment process. They assured stakeholders that successful candidates will undergo training and capacity-building to meet the required teaching standards.
This initiative is expected to improve education in Muslim communities and provide livelihood opportunities for thousands of young people across the nation.
