On 29th September 2025, the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, met with members of the New Media Association of Ghana, bloggers, and independent content creators to strengthen the government’s partnership with the digital creative industry.
At the meeting, held in Accra, the Minister announced a landmark collaboration with TikTok. On October 12, 2025, a technical team from South Africa will train 120 Ghanaian creators on optimising the platform for engagement, reach, and monetisation. This marks the first government-facilitated TikTok training in Ghana.
To ensure inclusivity, training slots will be distributed among the New Media Association, the Ghana Bloggers Association, and independent creators. The Ministry is also working with TikTok and GCB Bank on a payment system to allow creators to redeem earnings locally.
