Asantehene's Endorsement Elevated My Music Career - Kofi Kinaata

Ghanaian music sensation Kofi Kinaata is still enjoying the ripple effects of a rare royal acknowledgment from the King of the Ashanti Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Speaking in an interview with NY DJ, Kinaata revealed that the Asantehene’s recognition has opened new doors for him, elevating his career to greater heights. The “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker, who recently thrilled fans at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic: The Homecoming Edition at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, said the endorsement has significantly boosted his brand.

“Kumasi is becoming a hotspot for me, especially since the endorsement came. It did a lot for me. It brought in some corporate shows, and my numbers also increased,” Kinaata explained.

The recognition dates back to September 2024, when Otumfuo Osei Tutu II cited Kinaata’s popular song Susuka during a Ghana Bar Association event. The Asantehene praised the song for its deep wisdom and message of gratitude, urging Ghanaians to embrace appreciation and contentment in daily life.

For Kofi Kinaata, such an endorsement from the Ashanti King not only validates his artistry but also reinforces the impact of music as a tool for social values.
