Ghana Tourism Authority CEO Builds Creative Arts Partnerships in Columbus

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto, has taken bold steps to strengthen Ghana’s cultural and creative diplomacy in the United States through a series of high-level engagements in Columbus, Ohio.

During her visit, Mrs. Houadjeto met with prominent U.S. arts and culture organizations, including the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC), and Columbus Artway Inc. The discussions centered on fostering collaborations that merge tourism, culture and investment between Ghana and the U.S.
These strategic engagements are laying the foundation for a Creative Arts and Investment Delegation to Ghana in early 2026, aimed at connecting Ghanaian creatives with international investors, art patrons, and cultural institutions.
“The arts tell the story of our people, they are the soul of Ghana’s tourism identity,” Mrs. Houadjeto emphasized.
