Ghanaian actress and media personality Xandy Kamel has shared her distressing experiences at Angel TV, describing her time there as filled with sacrifice, mistreatment, and betrayal.
In an interview with Zionfelix, Xandy recounted how she once stepped in to protect the station’s owner from potentially damaging exposure, only to find herself sidelined during a management shake-up.
It was heartbreaking to wake up one morning and hear that there had been a change in management and that I should stay home until further notice. I’ve been at home for the past three years, she lamented.
Xandy revealed that her salary was only GHC 2,000, despite managing multiple roles as a presenter and producer, often working late hours without transportation provided.
Angel TV took a lot from me. I produced and presented three shows, and yet I was paid peanuts. The staff is often left vulnerable and exposed, and management is terrible, she stated.
Additionally, she mentioned that after being sent home, her salary came sporadically for three months before it completely stopped.
