MzGee Confirms Divorce from Raymond Acquah

Ghanaian media personality Gloria Akpene Nyarku, popularly known as MzGee, has officially confirmed that she is no longer married to journalist Raymond Acquah of The Multimedia Group Ltd.

In a video shared on social media, the former host of United Showbiz on UTV disclosed that she and Acquah have been separated for three years and officially divorced for two years.

Addressing lingering public speculation, MzGee stated that she no longer holds any legal ties to her ex-husband.

My name is Gloria Akpene Nyarku. I have no documentation that bears the name Acquah. I know this is because once upon a time, you knew Raymond Acquah, whom I was married to.
Unfortunately, I have been separated from Raymond Acquah for three years and officially divorced for two years,” she clarified.

MzGee further explained that while she initially saw no need to make a public statement about her private life, she felt compelled to do so now to avoid confusion regarding her newborn child’s paternity.

I wouldn’t have responded or addressed this because my private life is nobody’s business. But now there’s a child involved, and I do not want him growing up confused about his paternity. I have no business whatsoever with Raymond Acquah,” she emphasized.

She urged the public to respect their separate lives and not associate her with her ex-husband any longer.

I see that people still want to attach us. Maybe you didn’t know, it’s okay. But my name is Gloria Akpene Nyarku, no Acquah attached. Please let the gentleman breathe,” she added.

MzGee, born Gloria Akpene Nyarku, is a well-known Ghanaian journalist, TV presenter, and entertainment critic. She gained prominence as a broadcaster with The Multimedia Group before moving to Media General and later hosting United Showbiz on UTV.
