The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has officially launched a new Ministerial Committee on the Movie Industry & Creatives (Kumawood).
This committee will work to improve Ghana’s film and creative arts sector, making it stronger and more successful.
The committee has been given several important tasks:
1. Studying the current state of the film industry and identifying challenges.
2. Creating policies to attract investors and support long-term growth.
3. Finding ways to promote Ghanaian films both in the country and around the world.
4. Improving production facilities and training opportunities for filmmakers and actors.
5. Organizing film festivals and cultural events to showcase Ghanaian creativity.
6. Encouraging teamwork among industry players to create more opportunities for creatives.
Dr. Frank encouraged committee members to work with dedication and unity. The goal is to make Kumawood and Ghana’s entire creative industry bigger and better.
By working together, Ghana can build a strong and competitive film industry that shares the rich stories of Asanteman and the nation with the world.
