Kirchuffs Atengble, a 37-year-old Information Systems Researcher and member of the Fix the Country Movement aspiring to become the Council of State Member in the Volta region has pledged to commit himself to the development of the region through industrial development and business expansion.
Atengble, who is number 10 on the ballot paper into the Tuesday, 11th February 2025 Council of State Members election, has promised to direct 100% of his funds as a Council of State Member towards the development of the region.
He aims to achieve this through a transformative agenda that aligns with the 1992 constitution of Ghana.
The aspirant commended President John Dramani Mahama’s efforts to review the constitution, stating that his ideologies are in line with many others who have seen the need for a review, saying the previous government could not understand fix the country’s movement upon several engagements with them led to them to give the movement a tag.
Atengble believes that his election will bring about the needed changes and development in the region.
Atengble expressed his commitment to working closely with traditional authorities in the region, ensuring cohesiveness and respect for traditional rulers. He also plans to create opportunities for the youth to explore and develop their skills.
As a non-career politician, Atengble emphasized the need for youth participation in these leadership positions. He urged the elderly to give the younger generation a chance to lead and bring about positive change.
Atengble stressed that the notion that the Council of State Member position is reserved for the elderly is merely a convention, not a constitutional requirement. He believes that this convention ruins fairness and binds the president to prioritize politics over the country’s needs.
The aspirant’s unique approach focuses on resourcefulness and development. He pledged to work tirelessly to ensure that the Volta region receives the development it deserves.
Atengble’s commitment to development is unwavering. He believes that his election will bring about a new era of growth and progress in the region.
As a native of Anfoega in the North Dayi constituency, Atengble said he understands the needs of the region. He is determined to address these needs and bring about positive change.
The Fix the Country Movement has been advocating for a review of the 1992 constitution. Atengble’s election would be a significant step towards achieving this goal.
Atengble said, “It’s time for a change, urged 36 Assembly Members delegates from the 18 districts to take a critical look at the situation and vote for him as the best candidate to bring about the needed development in the region with their strong support.
The aspirant’s passion for development is evident. He is confident that, together, they can achieve great things and bring about a brighter future for the Volta region.
