Ghanaian music sensation Kuami Eugene has clapped back at the music duo DopeNation after they released a diss track titled Vawulence directed at him. In a sharp and somewhat humorous retort, Kuami Eugene labeled the twin brothers “Agyimifour,” a term considered an in$ult in the Akan language.
Adding a touch of satire to his response, Kuami Eugene suggested that instead of throwing shots at him, the duo should humble themselves and seek financial assistance from him to improve their craft. His comment sparked widespread reactions online, further fueling the ongoing tension between the two parties.
The former Lynx Entertainment star made this statement while sharing a video created by Joshua of the music group Keche. The video, which has since gone viral, was originally posted on X (formerly Twitter) and has stirred discussions within the Ghanaian music industry.
In the clip, Keche Joshua expressed his appreciation to Charterhouse, the organizers of the prestigious Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), for reinstating the Group of the Year category. He acknowledged the efforts made to restore the award, which recognizes outstanding contributions from musical groups in Ghana.
However, amid his gratitude, Keche Joshua took the opportunity to criticize DopeNation, accusing them of misplacing their priorities. According to him, instead of investing their energy in dissing Kuami Eugene, the brothers should have joined the fight to reinstate the Group of the Year category. Keche Joshua pointed out that while he and other musicians actively advocated for the return of the category, DopeNation was preoccupied with beefing with Kuami Eugene a solo artist with multiple chart-topping hits.
His comments have added another layer to the ongoing tension between Kuami Eugene and DopeNation. Fans and industry stakeholders have since weighed in on the matter, with opinions divided over whether the beef is necessary or if DopeNation should indeed refocus its efforts on pushing its career forward.
