A total of 945 newly trained Community Protection Assistants (CPAs) have successfully graduated after completing a three-week intensive training program at the Regional Police Training School in Ho.
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, commended the graduates for their resilience and dedication throughout the training. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting youth employment and enhancing national security.
The program equipped the CPAs with vital skills in community policing, crime prevention, and public safety, preparing them to serve as a crucial link between the police and the communities they will protect.
The pass-out ceremony also paid tribute to the late Defense Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, and seven others who perished in a recent helicopter crash. Their service and sacrifice were remembered with deep respect.
Hon. Gunu urged the new CPAs to uphold professionalism, integrity, and diligence in their duties to safeguard peace and security across the nation.
