Minister of Communications Dismisses Cyber Security Director

The Minister of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has removed Mr. Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Mafo from his position as the Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA).

Following his dismissal, Mr. Osafo-Mafo has been instructed to transfer his responsibilities to the Acting Director General of the NCA. The reasons for his removal have not yet been disclosed.

The National Communications Authority (NCA) is tasked with regulating the communications industry, including internet security.

The Cyber Security Directorate plays a crucial role in safeguarding the country’s digital environment from cyber threats.

With this change in leadership, there are expectations that the new acting head will continue efforts to enhance the country’s cyber security and ensure safe digital operations for both businesses and individuals.
